hello, im going into my senior year and i am not sure if i should apply early decision to UPenn or Columbia. I am planning on going into dentistry. im asian america, ranked 5 of 600 with a GPA of 98.818 (weighted) in a public school. on my SATs i got a 1950 (CR-680, M-650, W-620). On my SAT IIs (bio – 660, chem – 760, math II – 690), on my APs (US – 2 : ( , chem – 5) i will me taking 3 more APs next year. I am the captain of the varsity swim team, president of the french honor society, and an all-county and potential area all-state clarinetist. I am also on the drumline for marching band. I do some community service helping out at my local pool and face painting at a winter carnival for children and raising money for scholarships. Male Infertility
According to the National Institutes of Health, male infertility is involved in approximately 40% of the more than 2 million infertile married couples in the United States. One-half of these men experience irreversible infertility and cannot father children, and a small number of these cases are caused by a treatable medical condition.
In men, hormone disorders, illness, reproductive anatomy trauma and obstruction, and sexual dysfunction can temporarily or permanently affect sperm and prevent conception. Some disorders become more difficult to treat the longer they persist without treatment. Sperm development (spermatogenesis) takes place in the ducts (seminiferous tubules) of the testes. Cell division produces mature sperm cells (spermatozoa) that contain one-half of a man’s genetic code. Each spermatogenesis cycle consists of six stages and takes about 16 days to complete. Approximately five cycles are needed to produce one mature sperm.
Energy-generating organelles (mitochondria) inside each sperm power its tail (flagellum) so that it can swim to the female egg once inside the vagina. It is difficult for any person to admit that they have a fertility problem. However, because of the old fashioned idea that women are typically the cause of infertility issues, many men find it especially hard to admit that they might be the one with the problem. When going for fertility testing, it is important for the male partner to undergo a semen analysis in order to assess how well his sperm work. This simple test can provide fertility specialists with a great deal of insight into a man’s fertility. In almost half the cases of subfertility, there is a male contribution to the problem. The initial investigation requires a sample of semen for analysis. This is usually produced at home after abstaining from ejaculation for 2 to 3 days. A shorter time than this will reduce the total number and longer abstinence can lead to a falsely high number of poorly motile (slow swimming) sperms.
The sample needs to be delivered to the laboratory within one hour for analysis. The following are considered a normal result: Volume: 2-5mls Concentration: more than 20 million per ml Motility: more than 50% progressively motile Form: more than 30% normal appearance White blood cells: less than 1 million per ml We clinics suggest two samples should be received for analysis, particularly if there are any abnormalities with the first test. It takes around 74 days to make sperm, so if 2 samples are checked in a shorter time than this, it is likely that they are from the same population. This might be important if, for example, a man had a viral infection, or a poor result followed a period of particularly heavy alcohol intake. In this case, it would be better to delay the second sample for 3 months. There are several other specialised tests for semen analysis, but these are not routinely recommended, as their ability to predict infertility and direct the correct treatment has not been proven. One particular test is the anti-sperm antibody test.

Angry with dentists!!! I guess I should be more angry with myself! I thought that I could trust the dentists with my son’s teeth but I have just realized that the “stainless steel crowns” that were put on 12 of his teeth at the age of 2 years old bc of a genetic disorder, were not “stainless steel” at all!!! they actually contain “NIckel” which is a toxic metal !! Anyone out there about to do the same for their child? please do your homework and ask a ton of questions. I was told “the crowns are stainless steel” my son has suffered migraine headaches complete with puking just after he got those crowns and I have just recently found out that these so called crowns are more than likely the toxins which are cause of his suffering. Why should I be surprised at this, when the same people put mercury in peoples mouths every day? so my question is, can these caps be taken off? and does anyone else have a child who is suffering from this toxic dentistry?

Tuesdays funeral at Sacred Heart Church was the fourth time in 15 years that the inner-city priest has had to comfort the family of a child who died while in government care. Her death is also the latest in a string of tragedies in the past few years connected to the child welfare system. Its easy to blame individuals, Holland told the 100 or so mourners. Its easy for us to say our government is not doing what it should, but unless we challenge this and speak out, its going to continue. The little girl, who by law cant be identified, was in foster care in Morinville. She died March 3 in hospital, two days after being admitted in critical condition. The death was ruled a homicide and RCMP continue to investigate. So far, no charges have been laid. Police have not released any details, including the cause of death. Some unconfirmed reports have said the probe is more complicated because two households are involved ― the regular foster home and a respite home. The Alberta Childrens Services Ministry is conducting its own internal probe. Outside the church, the childs grief-wracked mother struggled to keep her composure as she recalled holding her in my arms, her smile and her beautiful, beautiful hair. About two years ago, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported on the nutritional status of today’s children comparing this generation of kids with children of the post-war generation. In spite of the shortages in food supply back then, children in the 1950s ate more healthy and took in less refined sugar than today’s generation of children who are hooked on chocolates, chips and sweetened soft drinks. We’ve seen ads feature hopped-up kids, and ads that take place in kids’ rooms. This spot for Wrestlemania combines gives us the room and an excited teenager. This guy wants us to watch him take out the Macho Man, Randy Savage by playing the game, and he does by yelling out the moves he uses. However, this ad only shows a few seonds of actually gameplay footage, plus it adds tevevision footage of Savage going at it with Hulk Hogan. The kid wins but gets a surprise visit from Savage at the end. Actually we just see his sequin robe as his voice calls out for a rematch. KID: “Now watch me waste the Macho Man, with Acclaim’s Wrestlemania for the Nintendo Entertainment System. A leg drop. An elbow smash! A BODY SLAM!!” ANNOUNCER: “WWF Wrestlemania from Acclaim.” SAVAGE: “Oh yeah, I want a rematch.” Kids, the lesson here is if you play Wrestlemania, don’t call out the Macho Man. Adding ‘Future Insurability’ To Your Life Insurance
When setting up life insurance, you can choose any lump sum you would like. I need to make sure this office is a pediatric office not just a regular dentist my sons are 3 and 6 and the regular dentist could not handle them they are scared and have cavities that need to be filled. I have not had any luck on finding one that has late office hours not during school and one that is good at what they do and not just a flashy office.They do have to accept medicaid and be in chicago or close suburbs. What type of doctor/surgeon should I be?
I’m 15 but I really want to know what kind of job in the medical field i should get. I’m the type of person that WILL work hard while my partners are slacking. My main goal for college regarding to the medical field is to get my degree and start working by the time I’m 30, starting at least with 140k, given the fact that I start college once I graduate high school. At first I wanted to become a cardiologist (invasive) however as you know, surgeons are on-call which I would definitely not appreciate. I do want to have a family by the time I’m 35 so I want to work from about 8 A.M. given that I plan on having about a 40-60 minute commute to a hospital/clinic to about 8 P.M. since my mom is a nurse and basically had the same hours from Mon-Fri and Sat (O.T.) and my sister and I have turned out great so I feel that those hours won’t interfere with family discipline as long as my spouse is home while I’m at work ^_^. So my mom only makes about 89k as an RN and about 120k with a lot of O.T. which sucks because she’s already 55 working that many hours so I want to prevent that from happening when I’m older. My mom recommends for me to be a dentist but I think dermatology seems more of a laid back job since in doesn’t involve much physical labor however I still wouldn’t mind being a dentist since all that standing would do me some good for exercise. Then again I could be a cardiologist (non-invasive) but I don’t think that would get me 140k a year starting because it’s not like everyone needs to consult with a cardiologist so after a lot of thinking I only be a health-work.blogspot.com/' target='_blank' class='infotextkey'>doctor rather than surgeon to prevent those odd hour on calls. If you are going to say that you have to enjoy the job that you can excel in, then that’s basically anything that I deem interesting which is basically most of the human anatomy, and the fact that I just want to make enough money so that I know I can indefinitely support my family as a middle-class family that CAN indefinitely afford college tuitions to any college and can afford to bring two children to private elementary/high schools with myself, being the only working parent while my spouse takes care and disciplines my children at home.
I know this was a lot of reading but answering my, basically, essay would be a great development in what type of future I will have so please and thank you ten million times for answering.

To work with the glucose, the body will need insulin. This aids the cellular functions within the body and without it, the body will not be able to work with the glucose. Sufferers of diabetes cannot produce the amount of insulin that the body needs, and the body may not be able to use it correctly either. This can then cause excess glucose within the body’s bloodstream and can lead to a variety of problems in the body. The lack of energy due to the glucose not being used efficiently will lead to weakness and fatigue and the sufferer will find that they are struggling to have the energy to make it through the day.
Increased thirst does hand in hand with other diabetic symptoms, followed closely by increasing needs to urinate. These are the most basic warning signs that you may be dealing with diabetes, and ignoring these diabetic symptoms will lead to more pressing problems such as heart attacks and other heart related illnesses due to more pressure being put on the vital organ, kidney diseases, nerve damage, problems with the blood and circulation, and as a result of this, amputation of the limbs may be needed for more serious cases.
Diabetes can run in families and if you have a family history of this long suffering illness, regular checkups are vital to ensure early diagnosis and also the correct treatment given. Overweight people tend to be more at risk than “healthy” weight people and also those that have a lifestyle that is not considered to be particularly active. At the first sign of any unusual activity within your body, it is a good idea to visit your doctor to get diabetes help, especially if you have symptoms similar to those associated with the disease.
